We Will Configure iRedMail Server in this tutorial
iRedMail is a shell script that lets you rapidly deploy a full-featured mail solution in less than 2 minutes. The object of iRedMail Project is to make a Linux mail server installation and configuration simple, effortless and easy to use.
Step by step guide to install iRedMail server
First look at our lab network diagram
As you see in diagram we are using DNS Server, Email Server and one xp client for testing
DNS Server Contains MX Record (Mail Exchagner) of www.broexperts.com
Lets Start Installation of iRedMail
mkdir /down cd /down
Now Download Latest Version from this link
We need to have bzip2 installed for extracting iRedMailÂ
yum install bzip2
tar jxvf iRedMail-0.7.0.tar.bz2 cd iRedMail-0.7.0/pkgs/ bash get_all.sh cd .. bash iRedMail.sh
1: Welcome page.
2: All emails should be stored in which directory.
3: iRedMail supports both OpenLDAP and MySQL as backend to store virtual domains and users, please choose the one which you’re familiar with.
i am using MySQL
4: Enter you domain name in my cause broexperts.com
5: Password for MySQL root user.
6: iRedMail will create a domain admin, default is ‘postmaster@YOUR_DOMAIN’, and you have to set password for it now.
* This account is used only for system administrations, not a mail user.
* You can login iRedAdmin with this account, login name is full email address.
7: iRedMail will create a normal mail account, default is ‘www@YOUR_DOMAIN’, and you have to set password for it now.
* This account is a normal mail user.
* You can login webmail with this account, login name is full email address.
8: Enable SPF verify and DKIM virify/sign feature?
9: After you complete the configure wizard, it’s time to setup mail server now:
10 : Please do remember to *REMOVE* configuration file after installation completed successfully.
/down/iRedMail-0.7.0/config using this command
Now Check you mail server is working by send and receive emails using outlook express.
