`Step 1 — Confirm Your TV’s OS
On the TV: Home → Settings → Support → About. If you see Android TV or Google TV, continue with the fixes below. If you see VIDAA (or Vewd), your TV doesn’t have the Google Play Store natively—jump to this section for practical options.
Step 2 — Quick Fixes (Google/Android TV)
- Restart the TV: Settings → System → Restart (or hold the power button and choose Restart).
- Check internet: Reboot your router; connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi if available.
- Set date & time to automatic: Settings → System → Date & time → Automatic. Wrong time can block sign-in and installs.
- Update system software: Settings → System → About → System update (then restart).
- Update Play Store & Google Play services: Open Play Store → tap your profile → Manage apps & device → update; or update Google Play services via Settings → Apps.
Tip: On Google TV, installs live under the Apps tab on the top row; on Android TV, open the Google Play Store app from the Apps row.
If Play Store Seems “Missing”
- Google TV: Go to the Apps tab at the top of Home, then browse/search and install apps.
- Android TV: From Home → Apps, open the Google Play Store tile. If you don’t see it, scroll through “All apps.”
- Still not visible? Restart the TV, update system software, then continue with the cache/data steps below.
Fix Login & Account Sync Issues
- Restart the TV and your router.
- Auto time zone: Settings → System → Date & time → Automatic.
- Clear Play services & Play Store cache/data: Settings → Apps → See all apps → Google Play services → Storage & cache → Clear cache. Then do the same for Google Play Store. Reopen Play Store and sign in.
- Remove & re-add Google account (if needed): Settings → Accounts → Google → Remove, restart, then add it again.
Fix Crashing / Not Opening
- Force stop & clear cache: Settings → Apps → See all apps → Google Play Store → Force stop → Storage & cache → Clear cache. If needed, Clear storage (you’ll sign in again).
- Update Google Play services: Settings → Apps → Google Play services → Storage & cache → Clear cache, then check for updates.
- Free up storage: Uninstall unused apps; TVs with very low free space may fail updates/installs.
- System update & reboot: Apply pending updates and restart.
Note: If you previously sideloaded apps that interfere with Google services, uninstall them and reboot.
VIDAA / Vewd: What to Do Instead
VIDAA/Vewd models don’t have the Google Play Store. Use these safe options:
- VIDAA App Store: Install available apps for your region.
- Casting/Mirroring: Use the VIDAA mobile app or compatible casting apps to send videos from your phone.
- External streamer (recommended): Add a Google TV / Android TV device for full Play Store access (or Fire TV for Amazon Appstore).
- Keep firmware updated: System Settings → Support → System Upgrade → Check Firmware Upgrade.

Last Resort: Factory Reset
