How to Install Android N On windows PC

Android N developers preview version has been released by Google, Android N possibly be the Android 7.0 which could be release end of 2016. Recently released Android N is limited for few google devices such as Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player and Pixel C.

If you would like to try and experience the Android N developers preview you must have one of the following Nexus Devices mentioned earlier.

SOLUTION

However, you can still use Google’s Latest OS Android N on your PC. In this guide I will walk you through the installation process of Android N on your PC.

So let’s start installation.

Before going to start installation process make sure you have already installed latest java package on your windows PC.

You can download and install latest java version on your PC by clicking the link below.
Download Java SDK

Step -1 Install Android SDK on your PC

You can find latest Android SDK on Google Developer’s website.

After downloading finished install the Android SDK on your PC.

So click finish and launch SDK manager after the installation setup finish.

Step -2 To install Android N on you PC you need to install following packages.

  • Android SDK Platform-tools
  • Android N ‘API 23, N Preview’
  • Google Play Service
  • Google Play Billing Library
  • Google USB Driver
  • Inter x86 Emulator Accelerator (HAXM Installer)from the SDK Manager.

Select required packages and click install button.

Next window will be for license agreement click on Accept License and Install.

It will take time so be patience and wait until its complete.

Step -3 After the installation finished go to Android SDK on the installed location.

Which is in my case “C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk” and run AVD Manager.exe click on “Create” you will see Create New Android Virtual Device (AVD) windows appear.

Fill up the required information in that popup window, follow the below screenshot.

Step-4 : Now you are ready to go, let’s start the Android N Virtual Device.
