Skype is a VOIP ( voice-over-internet-protocol ) application which is owned by Microsoft, skype enable users to communicate with other skype users over the internet and its free of charge.
In this tutorial i am going to install Skype on Ubuntu 12.04 follow the below steps.
Step-1 Add canonical Partner repository.
To fire up the Terminal press ( Ctrl + Alt + t ) and issue below command.
sudo apt-add-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner"
Step-2 Update the system Indexes.
sudo apt-get update
Step-3 Skype installation
sudo apt-get install skype -yWatch Video :
